Na'hele Bica'na

I'll be blunt and fair: you baffle me!
In a subtle yet stunning way,
You managed somehow to express true beauty,
With simply being and made is seems like child's play.

I've read about it once in a long forgotten book,
That what you hold, it's more than beauty and being pretty;
It's something different and holds a deeper meaning,
You as a being, you're Nature's way of being witty.

Regarding those gems you call eyes and use to sight the whole world,
Many sank in their spell while trying to reach out to you,
And I do think the Flying Dutchman won't be needing crew for a while;
Because of the beautiful curse known as your eyes and the ravages they do.

I believe that above else, you're a wanderer,
Through the hearts of men at your own pace you walked down
On their pride and hopes which, as thin ice, broke under your heel;
And still, they pledged allegiance to your crown.

About your glorious smile, they talked over and over,
Thousands of poets trying their best to paint it in words with their ink,
But how can you write something that blooms out in the moonlight?
The Ninth Wonder of Earth some say, others: the blind ones, just saw  a blink...

Of your name I've heard long before I even heard of you.
It was written in gold on a falling Pheonix feather in the mist of twilight,
And just like your touch it was soft, warm and  forever eternal;
Na'hele Bica'na, a name that it’s both pure and bright.

Nadil’ama

You call me kind but, to be honest, the truth is
i find myself hopeless every single time
i get lost in your eyes and I find it a bliss,
...when i can't call it a crime.

I remember you, yes, I remember you clearly,
Back from the days when I thought of you as shy,
A mistake for which I paid dearly
While counting stars till my lips ran dry.

Now that you've blossomed, witness of twenty one autumns,
I don't dare to question your beauty nor do I try
To defy the angels that from the height of their columns
Prey upon chance you'll gaze back at them as they die.

Haze of a strong, sweet and yet bitter scent rises slowly from your lips,
And I sense coffee, strong, hot and brown; much like your eyes,
In which, at night, whirlpools of stars are pulled under a full eclipse;
During the day, your eyelids keep trapped inside a thousand skies.

I asked the wind if poems written by time on your neck
Are still true, still full of wonders and gests of the new;
If your skin is still soft as the first snow falling on deck,
It laughed, the wind, without telling me if i'm worthy the view.

From your pace I could make the time's new golden gears,
For the whole world to forget the meaning of haste,
And for a while, breath it in, the dust of those years
They lost while chasing their lives, forgetting the taste.

Ni'cami Cosen'ds

To be frankly with you,
and me,
I wandered: why you?
more than one time
And don't get me wrong,
it's not a crime
To write on the beauty you hold
in mere words with my foolish hands,
Coz' to write you it's more than a bliss;
like the point where my plane lands
And let me tell you, to land down a plane
can be such a sweet symphony;
Runway in sight, eyes on the speed and the height,
the view and the lights; oh, marvellous melody!
At that point you gamble your life
as you take out the thrust and you wait,
And wait, and wait, and you pull!
…but just a little; you don't want to be late,
'Nor do you want to take off with almost no thrust,
and just like in life, you don't have to touch and go.
Sometimes, staying in one place for more than a while
it's the right thing to do and perhaps a must.
Sometimes, being is just more than enough,
and touching, that marvellous feeling you have at the end…
Just like a first kiss, on those lips you craved for so long,
the point where all laws of physics are bent,
And the time just doesn't flow;
it's freezing outside yet you relate of no cold
The universe itself spins around you,
the heaven and hell; they melt and they mold.
It’s slow motioned chaos where you hold the remote
which is missing the button for stop
And there's no mute, no rewinding,
only HD and the full screen mode.

So, it came to my ears that for you,
today was... a day,
A day full things that you like,
and, if I may...
With people close to your heart,
those people able to chase
The same dreams as you,
only to put a smile on your face.

Today was a good day!
maybe because it was yours,
Or simply because it was you
who opened all the doors
Of yourself and smiled to the world,
as wide as you could!
For them to see just how bright you are,
and all people should
Take notes on your smile,
your walk and your pace;
Teach them the meaning
of your happy days!

Today was a brilliant day,
today was for you!
A reminder of Time, never forgotten
for the things that you've done and you do!

Be happy young lady,
happy and free!
Remember to cheer your friends
with wine or with tea,
Never forget that this life,
it is yours
To spend it on things that have meaning for you
be it reading, learning, partying or chores,
It is yours!
So put on that smile that made the world gaze
Starting today,

till' the end of your days!

Ni'cami

Today, I remembered your eyes
and the story they told
The first time I laid my gaze upon them,
without knowing if I was a fool or just bold.

I've seen the beginning of all,
in your golden goblets of fire
I saw all the wanders of Earth,
the wise and the fool; their hope full of dire.

The world as we know it,
took the shape of your thought,
A world with no wars, and the killing,
or knaves to be caught.

Your eyes took me further
than I ever expected to go,
I’ve seen the end of all things,
and how time stopped its flow.

Witnessing the ultimate silence
that came after us,
I felt just how little we are,
like little specks of stardust.

From a snap of your fingers,
all that was lost came to be;
Once again it was light, there was warmth;
my soul was my own and was free.

You, as a being, are a book to be read,
while the sun meets the night
Surrounded by mystery fog
Caught and seized by the wind in his flight;

But behold! There are dangers for the mortal who dares
to read from your skin the threads of your life,
Written with silk on those naked shoulders:
a bless for one’s sight, a bless and a knife…

Remember your name Ni’cami,
as it sums up the whole Universe
In one single word; in one being: you!

It’s your bless and your curse…
